Part two of two- A man sues a teen for an assault. The plaintiff says the defendant crashed a party at his home.

    I agree with speaking in terms of probability. By skylur was speaking in terms of what WILL happen.

    @CrapAttack42 Indeed, he might not be. That’s why I wrote “more likely than not.” We never know the future, but we can talk in terms of probability. If we were to have a bet, would you take your chances? It’s all well and good to give someone the benefit of doubt, but it would be very unwise to treat every person equally, instead of judging them by their actions. We would hurt ourselves by trusting people who have already proven themselves to be capable of being bad.

    Keep in mind, he may not be a typical case. Not everyone is a typical case.

    I think her words fell on deaf ears as far as the defendant goes. That`s not the last time he`ll be in court.

    skylur is right, it is more likely than not that he will commit acts of violence again in the future. It takes a violent personalty to commit violence. Normal (i.e. most) people don’t do that kind of stuff. You see, he didn’t do what he did because the situation forced him to act a certain way, but because his personalty is so inclined. He may learn to control himself, maybe with the help of a threrapist or a hobby that lets him channel his aggression, but the odds are that he’ll do it again.

    @skylur44 Indubitably we can agree to disagree, but that by no means entails stopping the conversation. I never said that he wouldn’t end up the way you said. Each side is possible, is what I pointed out. You’re view is not closer to the truth. You don’t take into account the fact that not everyone is a typical case. Even if you could name 1 million people who ended up like you said, those 1 million people do not represent the entire planet.

    i’ve been assaulted by 6 guys i didnt even know before. they jumped out of a SUV when i was riding my bike through a parking lot. i hate teenagers i cant wait till im 20

    I’ve been around long enough to know that someone capable of inflicting that serious an injury to someone else and face no consequences at all, will now act on his impulses whenever he feels like it. He ahs, as I stated before, no sense of right and wrong. He is a Neanderthal. Not apologetic, not one bit remorseful, only resentful toward JJ because she told him the truth about himself.

    I never assaulted anyone, that’s one, and two, he will DEFINITELY hurt more people (he has no conscience whatsoever and thinks he can get away with anything) until he is killed himself (I did not say he SHOULD be killed, but that is his destiny) or incarcerated. And this is NOT a mistake, this is an assault and he injured that man terribly and could have killed him so your defense of this POS is rather bizarre and kind of disgusting.
