    More batter in pan to create a bigger worthwild cake and less time in the oven so its not so dry and dark looking. Try a good recipe so theres no dome to be cutting off. Mine come out flat every time from scratch….

    Yes you can use less amount of water, oil, or milk, I mean you can use less amount of any liquid ingredient that your cake mix needs.

    i make a bunch of cakes, but when i do the ones from the box “cake mix” they usually dont come out hard, the come out all soft and it drops a bunch of crumbs. what do i do so they can come out kinda hard and easy to cut?

    Because the first coating is the crumb coat, used to reduce the crumbs. A crumb coat is just a thin layer of frosting. They are putting more frosting to smooth everything, make more details and maybe they want a thick layer of frosting.

    go to the store and get a yellow pillsbury cake. there are instructions on the back of the box.
