I identify with this movie, and I am sure many others do as well! Truly artistic, very moving..I felt comfort as I myself am a young student, far from home in a big town called London..following a dream….

Hi I am the co creator writer narrator and producer of this film
We did this with heart , spirit , talent and no money, what you see here is the realisation of a dream we had no connections, we had guts and went for glory, it is rare but possible in this era.

The more people “anywhere” the more chances of change good or bad. More money and you get the same results. As always- it’s the things “you do” to make your short time here on earth pleasant and teach those that touch you that very truth.
Get up stand up! …. peace to ALL!!

    p.s. I LOVE LOS ANGELES!!!!

I have to agree with junkman. You, ducinema, might be the very rare exception… even that being said, I doubt you guys had NO connections. i think LA/San Diego has more to offer in terms of attaining your dreams. it sure doesn’t have the personality that new york has… but at the end of the day, personality doesn’t fill your belly and that of your family.

It is such a relief to watch an insightful and balanced representation of the city I find so difficult to describe. Thank you for producing and sharing this film. Very well done.

    Wtf commercial?

  25. ducinema on November 15th, 2009 7:05 pm

Dear Junkman: Not true. I made this film with Alan Cooke, the Irish immigrant in the film. I’m a native New Yorker and used to feel the same, BUT We both had zero connections, zero budget, zero crew and we were able to get these interviews and then the film went on to win the New York Emmy Award including two nominations so it’s not true. Look at what we did with just determination and the city of New York, which gave us access to all these celebs… Keep your dream alive!
