Atlanta is frequently referred to as the capitol of the New south- so I give them that… but if they are the Capitol, we can be the Heart of the New South…imho
its not the heart of the south, atlanta is, atlanta is nicer but dont get me wrong.ive visited charlotte, its nice.
Really? Thats wonderful, were doing pretty crappy here. my home value is down over 30% from when we purchased in 2005.
Charlotte is doing surprisingly well. Wachovia didn’t turn out to be that bad-Wells is a strong partner and there were no massive layoffs. According to Chamber, we’d added 7500 new jobs through July… and that was ahead of 2008 pace. That said, uptown condso are hurting- and the further out burbs are struggling to hold value. It is a strong Buyers market, and there are Great values here.
How is Charlotte doing after the financial meltdown? Still a popular city or has it become a ghost town?
Charlotte is awesome, and we are trying to make it based on charlottes area..check our show out and tell us what you think! we try to capture all of the things going on around the area! go to awebster5@youtube

You’ve done a great job with this vid. You really capture the beauty that Charlotte has to offer.
Charlotte truly is a wonderful and beautiful place to live.
lets take a look at a cultureless society…
There’s no place like home!
I love Charlotte!
Charlotte has held up well- I’ve heard lots of predicitons about the banking industry- and we’ll all know when Well’s decides to let us know.
Charlotte Real Estate still appears to be on a relativley steady track with modest declines as opposed to steep declines in other part of the country. How do you think the changes in the Charlotte Banking community will effect the market?
Charlotte Real Estate is a passion for me not only as a mortgage professional but also as a Charlotte native. My wife and I fell in love driving around town looking at beautiful homes we dreamed about owning one day. Terry, you have done a fantastic job pointing out what makes Charlotte so special.

Thanks Jamar- i think (90% sure) yours was the biggest foreclosure sale in the city last year…
Had a great time in the Big Easy, it is crawfish season, sorry we missed you and T
Terry McDonald sold us our home in Charlotte about a year ago. If you need someone who knows their stuff and won’t waste your time by trying to show you what they like instead of what you like, call Terry. He’s the best of the best when it comes to a real estate agent.
I’ve been here several years and have done well with Charlotte real estate… not crazy- just done well. This is just a blip. Really like Matthews too, they have a great Labor Day Festival, my kids love it and it’s great for families! Like your video too, informative and easy to watch.
In general, Charlotte has fared better- but sales are slower, about 38% off the record years 2007 & ‘06. Prices began falling only last summer and today are about same as 2005.
Specifically, Matthews has done better with sales since 1/1 of 2009 off 23%, and average cost of $107/sf- exactly the same as 2005.
In Huntersville, it is about the same as Charlotte with 38% fewer sales, and average prices at $101/sf .
Still, with the historic low interest rates and low prices, people are buying!
I know Charlotte real estate has done pretty good through this national mess, price wise at least, but is there any area thats done better than others? What about the market in Matthews? Huntersville?
Thanks KEK! I do love Charlotte,Charlotte real estate, and the story behind Charlotte…it has brought us and many others happiness.
Terry, You representation of Charlotte Real Estate in a four minute segment is fantastic. Being in the real estate industry myself I have to say how impressed I am with the highlights you gave on our uptown and beautiful surrounding areas. Your own personal story is that of which we see everyday and I love the sincerity with which you communicate it. I look forward to working with you in the future!
Well come on over! Charlotte real estate is more affordable than it has been- and our economy is diversified- we will hold up better than most cities. Charlotte is big enough to have the things you are looking for- but without many of the “big city ” problems
Like many Charlotteans we love to visit Emerald Island in the esummer
