Most agents couldn't care less what your property sold for as their commissions do not vary in magnitude enough with the selling price to be a deterrant. They want to sell it for what it will sell fastest for and get on to the next listing. "Professionalism" is not a determinant to selling price. Listing price is the hook to get the listing-once the game starts you will get what it's worth. Why get conned into a multiple offer game when it can backfire.
